Santiagooooooo..1st impression!

Hola!
Buenos dias/tardes/noches me amigos!
... que tal?
(By the way I am trying to place my Bungy Jump and Tandem Skydive DVD on Youtube...so watch this space...they are both classic! ....spent whole of last day and half the night in Auckland watching all 3 Lord Of The Ring movies on our laptop-awesome man!)
...long flight and we gained 10 hours!..great flight Lan Airlines non-stop flight over Pacific waters(no land!)-watched 3 movies and drank Chilean Merlot for 10 hours, well it was included in the price!-not bad vegee food-left Auckland 5:20pm Sunday and arrive Santiago 12 mid-day Sunday-yaa ! work that one out Sherlock! (V thinks its something to do with Earth being round or something!) and there is more! arrived hotel 3pm-the taxi ride from airport to center of Santiago 30 minutes and saw Andes Mountains for the 1st time, magical as we imagined -snow capped jaggaed and razor sharp-brilliant-20 degrees-felt like Costa Del Sol in January-people looked like cross between Spaniards and Indians-I mean Red Indians-(like white people with fading suntan-get it?)-anyway got to the hotel 3pm and we all fell a sleep, got up at 8pm same day!(still sunny outside!),went for a walk and had a pizza! yes we did!(telepizza!),came back to room 11pm and here´s the weirdest thing-I fell a sleep for the next 19 hours-that´s right! 19 hours! cause I got up next day (Monday) at 6pm-P and V were up and down till 6pm too!( I don´t know how we are going to sleep tonight after our marathon 24 hours sleep!-Merlot might come handy again!) We can´t explain why we slept for almost 24 hours but it felt bloody great! I think am gonna have more Chilean Merlot if I want to sleep more than 10 hours! forget Mogodon man! just drink Merlot!-anyway we´ve all been learning Spanish for the last 3 years and now its real handy as Spanish is spoken all over this continent and we are not too bad at Spanish! infact we are bloody good at it mate! P has a great Spanish accent(she tries really hard) while mine´s a bit raw-I meant naturale! Entiendo?
So got up at 6pm and we go for a walk in the City Center and there are people everywhere(yesterday-Sunday-it was empty-real religious country-so much so that they had no divorce laws until 2005!-P erased the divorce joke from here...it went like..Why...................) and it felt like yaa! you´ve arrived in South America with sun setting over the Great Andes, charming people,Spanish lingo, great Spanish architect every where,Che´s T-shirts worn by tourist, street vendor selling hot empanada, museum at every corner and churches and beat of that latin music at every turn and it felt another revolution is on the way(kidding!) -its a gem of a place -oh yaa! just as we imagined as it would be!... Yaap! we´ve arrived to a place where P and I have long been dreaming of and we are going to have a ball!-
Am now in a bar with a glass-allright! I mean a bottle- of Merlot at 11:30pm and internet and locals for company( I can´t drink a bottle on my own-I´ll be f.....g leg-less) and its next door to our hotel-P is with V as she is doing her schoolwork( thats V´s doing her homework not P!)-by the way Vedanta is doing all her schoolwork almost daily as we travel the world ,we came prepared with all her one year schoolwork with various books and on the laptop and we are buying other books as we need them and she is doing real good Mrs Johnson-honest!
Bloody hell that Merlot bottle went down pretty fast!-that´s what happens when you share it with local gringos!

Oiga! por favour!
Para me una botella vino tinto!
Merlot! si claro!
Muchas gracias senior!
